I have good friends who have shared with me their life experiences that pertain to everything from near-death experiences to feelings of oppression and abduction. As I listen to them, I love to dig deeper into putting together a puzzle of my questions as best I can so that I might better try and understand the person’s experience. And often, I leave our conversation with more questions than answers. That’s not a bad thing. I love to learn. And I am the first person to admit when I am wrong.

The great thing about aspects of life like the supernatural is that it is just that, Super Natural. I know that when I have experienced supernatural occurrences, I am flooded with a huge range of emotional, intellectual and spiritual thoughts and feelings. It can take days for me to actually process them. Knowing how I process experiences like these has allowed me to better listen to others without judgment and explore together our life’s journey.

Now, I do admit that much of my life filter is composed of my deep-seeded belief in my personal relationship with the Creator of the Universe. My filter also grows as I meet new people all over the world and hear about their life experiences. I do not in any way feel that my spiritual foundation causes me to be “narrow-minded” as others have mentioned before. In fact, most often it is those same people who project the greatest hypocracy in the long run.

I love engaging with others in questions both physically and philosophically. Iron sharpens iron. Together we grow if we truly accept others without judgment of any kind. That can be tough to do when we live (and have been shaped by) in a society that grooms us differently.

All this to say that I do look forward to engaging others in conversation about questions and experiences that bring more questions and allow us to grow alongside of each other.
